For years, I’ve loved Tracy’s everyday life post every Sunday. I’ve always wanted to do one of my own, if only for selfish reasons to remember moments of each week and look back on them. I decided that this year it’s happening!
It was the most perfect week to start too, because Lacy got married on New Years Eve!
If you’re new here, Lacy is my cousin, basically my sister (we both only have brothers) and she works with me too. BFF lifer.
We started the week by finishing some last minute details at the wedding venue and getting our nails done. Important tasks.
And we had the chilaquiles at Acorn which might be the best I’ve ever had.
By the next morning, we made our way to the hotel and eventually the rehearsal.
Max and Emilia went straight down the aisle during the rehearsal, so we figured they would be good to go the next night!
Obsessed with these two. Their rehearsal dinner was at Heinz History Center and it was incredible. The food was amazing.
I mean, seriously, look at this. Flambé donuts with coffee ice cream and hot fudge for dessert. DEAD.
The next morning was just absolutely PERFECT. Can we also talk about how she wore the most gorgeous dress in the universe?! I CANNOT!!!
We had the most relaxing, chill morning. The wedding wasn’t until 6, so there wasn’t a huge rush. Eventually we got hair and makeup done and time started flying by.
New year, new phone background. Welcome to my most favorite photos of my kids ever taken. I don’t know how Eddie captured it. Even in the live version of this photo, he seriously had 1 millisecond to nail this pic!
Ready to go for her favorites!!
And they made it down the aisle! Max said he didn’t realize how many people would be there and that he was super scared to walk down. They went after me and before Lacy, so I didn’t really get to see their faces until I got to the end of the aisle. My phone was pretty much away for the night once we left for the church, so I’m so glad Eddie or others captured a lot of these photos.
The church was so pretty.
And I don’t know if you can tell, but there are rose petals falling from the ceiling as they walked out!
These two again. Gah!
This is a little blurry but before we started taking tequila shots. Oops!
The cake was so so so good too. I don’t remember exactly but chocolate and fudge and almond and white chocolate?
We definitely needed a day or two to recover after the wedding. On Friday we had friends over and made a nacho bar for the kids! It was so fun.
p.s. remember when Morgan was a baby here on the blog? WHAT.
We had been craving pizza for three weeks so on Saturday we went to Ironborn. You know, like the typical one last hurrah before the REAL new year starts. HAHAHA.
I seriously could have chosen six pizzas. OMG.
We ended up with a buffalo chicken because, HELLO.
This one has grown up SO MUCH in the last few weeks. She suddenly seems so much more like a toddler than a baby. Time slow down (again).
Then Eddie got these donuts because apparently he is trying to ruin my life.
And that’s it for week one! I’m hoping that this helps me document more of the moments I miss during the week. And maybe it really will slow time down.
